Wind is a clean origin of renewable energy that creates no air and water pollution. Considering wind is free, operational costs are nearly zero once a turbine is built. The goal of the project is to develop a full proof solution that integrates battery storage with wind turbine operation, which has the potential to lower the cost of the electricity production, and it has higher chances to deliver renewable energy with the same or higher levels of security and resilience as fossil fuels. The advantage of this research, in optimizing turbine operation, and potentially lowering the cost of electricity production; both of these are necessary if the renewable energy companies want to dominate the market.
