Orange Business IoT connectivity to Help Improve SHV Energy's Gas Delivery Business

IoT connectivity from Orange Business Services has been chosen by SHV Energy to install smart telemetry and meters on its gas tanks.

FREMONT, CA: SHV Energy has selected IoT connectivity from Orange Business Services to install smart telemetry and meters on its gas tanks across Europe and the US. The solution will offer an improved gas delivery service for its customers worldwide. It will also help SHV Energy enhance infrastructure management, customer satisfaction, and supply security while saving fuel expenses and decreasing carbon emissions.

SHV Energy is a worldwide distributor of off-grid energy such as LPG, LNG and is active in the locations where biofuels and renewable energy solutions are available. The company even supplies gas under brands, including Calor Gas, itGaspol, Liquigas, Pinnacle, Primagas, and Primagaz across four continents.

The organization will fit smart devices to legacy and new gas tanks, with the help of antennae and a magnet mechanism that measures the gas. All these intelligent telemetry devices consist of an Orange global SIM that can transfer data to SHV Energy's offices through the Orange global mobile network. Data is gathered and analyzed to ensure that a customer's gas tank is never empty. SHV Energy is also getting notification if the tank identifies any malfunction or leak. The data is also utilized to optimize gas delivery routes to decrease the company's carbon footprint.
