Energy CIO Insights | Thursday, October 22, 2020

The Energy Toolbase hasjoined hands with Delta, to work together onenergy storage solutions on their platform to influence the renewable energy developers.

FREMONT, CA: Energy Toolbase is a prominent software platform provider that offers solar and storage models, asset monitoring products, ad energy system control. The company has collaborated with Delta, which is a global leader in the power and thermal management solution and implemented its sales and modeling software platform. This coordination will influence the renewable energy developers so that they can analyze and propose the economic value proposition of the Delta's storage solutions.

The energy storage solution of Delta consists of a power conditioning system (PCS), which is a bi-directional inverter scalable up to 500kW, and the grid-tied energy storage system (ESS) scales up to 2,000kWh capacity. This solution can provide the users with the option of Energy Toolbase's intelligent Energy Management System (IEMS) storage control software. This software utilizes machine learning to enhance the battery dispatch to get maximum savings. The combination of software and hardware is designed in such a way that it will provide the developers using Energy Toolbase for project modeling with pre-configured, end-to-end procurement procedures.

Enrico Ladendorf, VP of Technology and Product Operations at Energy Toolbase, stated, "We've been working closely with Delta to energize our first handful of energy storage projects together." He further said that "we're excited about the prospect of this platform integration leading to many more deployments in the future."

Presently Delta and Energy Toolbase is working on a 100kW, 220kWh energy storage project that is in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They have also scheduled three other sites that can be included in the next quarter.

According to the director of engineering for the Energy Infrastructure Solutions Business Group at Delta in the Americas region Shane Long, "we're extremely proud to collaborate and integrate with Energy Toolbase. He even said that "this integration will offer developers a more streamlined and comprehensive workflow to analyze and close projects."

Moreover, the users do not have to pay any additional cost for Energy Toolbase while implementing the Delta integration. By applying this system, the storage dispatch simulations and savings analysis performed in the Energy Toolbase platform can show the ways in which the Delta system will operate in the field.
